About the event

On Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., The Local Church is excited to host The Speakeasy. The Speakeasy is a gathering for unfiltered conversations on faith and justice. At each gathering, we invite a special guest to share their personal experiences and stories in conversation around a particular topic or issue related to faith and justice. We hope these events inspire empathy, foster common ground, and cultivate deeper connections in our community and beyond. Brent Levy, pastor of The Local Church, facilitates the conversations. This month's conversation focuses on climate justice with Susannah Tuttle, Director of Eco-Justice Connection at North Carolina Interfaith Power & Light. Arrive early to order and share in good food and drink from our friends at The Plant. All are welcome. All belong. The Local Church is a United Methodist faith community in Chatham County committed to the work of LGBTQ+ inclusion, anti-racism, and care for creation in our pursuit of heaven on earth.
