"Mountain Nebula Dreamscape"
20x24,
Mixed Media: Acrylic Paint and Collage, in a floater frame fixed with gallery wire on the back.

The thought of nebulas essentially being star nurseries has always been a comforting thought for the artist's existential worries. Kristin Lozoya finds comfort in the idea of the remnants of destruction careening through space, waiting for the perfect gravitational circumstance to be part of something new. There is no failure. There is no waste. We are all part of something much bigger. Time, opportunity, gravity and chemistry-the universe's answer to our 3am worries. "Mountain Nebula Dreamscape" is an imagined voyage through the well-known massive star nursery. The Mountain Nebula is simultaneously being destroyed from the outside and built up from the inside. This painting is meant to capture the beautiful chaos of creation and destruction moving through the universe-hand in hand.
