Born from deep loss and transformed into communal resilience, Death Faire has become an extraordinary annual gathering where thousands of people from all walks of life come together to explore what our society so often avoids: death. Rooted in the principles of death positivity, this one-of-a-kind event is part of a growing cultural movement that encourages honest conversations about mortality and reminds us to live more fully.

Since its founding in 2016 in Pittsboro, North Carolina, Death Faire has grown into a vibrant festival featuring nationally recognized speakers, live music, art, healing experiences, workshops, rituals, food, and community. Attendees come seeking meaningful connections, thoughtful conversations, unique products, and resources that support living, dying, caregiving, grief, healing, and personal growth.
