Live Music: Michael Lashawn

Michael Lashawn is an Apex native, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist who has been playing music for most of his life. Performing on guitar and ukulele, his playing incorporates fingerstyle techniques and improvisation across a wide range of styles, from folk and blues to country, soul, and alternative rock. His repertoire spans generations, from Woody Guthrie, Mississippi John Hurt, and Buddy Holly to The Clash and Tyler Childers, including a few songs you might not expect to hear on an acoustic guitar or ukulele. While the music varies considerably in style and era, there’s a common thread in the songs he chooses: a personal, emotional connection to the material. His performances are largely spontaneous, allowing familiar songs to take on a different character each time.

If it's too cold or wet, the performance will move to Fair Game Beverage Co.
