About the event
For five years, I have lived in Pittsboro with an alien in my yard. I reckon it has been a symbiotic relationship, especially during those early years of the pandemic when we scrambled for ways to save our sanity. During that time I explored varied paths of creativity. I bought some paints and canvases, cleaned up my camera and even started dyeing again. I just absolutely love the interplay of back lit fabric and a UV lit subject and all the fun you can have with day-glo finger paints. Dyeing was never just hobby for me.
Some of the works you will see hanging in building 2 were created a really long time ago and for some reason I still have them. Artyfacts from my old MMOQ days in St. Louis, forty years ago, when I was chasing the Dead and selling t-shirts in parking lots. Most of the pieces…
