The monthly singer songwriter series is now being headlined by the very accomplished Wes Collins who takes over for Jonathan Byrd. Jonathan is taking up a golden opportunity to physics.  We are grateful to Jonathan for his successful launch of our series and wish him continued success in this next great adventure. We're sure he'll stop in to play again soon   

At age 44, Wes Collins and his wife Anita made a pact to become writers: she started writing fiction and Wes penned his first song.  A few years later, they were both multi-award-winners in their fields. Collins more than makes up for lost time with songs so dense with ideas that a first listen only scratches the surface.  Come for a haunting melody and some intricate fingerpicking and stay for the wit and deep literary intelligence.  There is always more to find in a Wes Collins song. 

 Abigail Dowd  Singer/songwriter/guitarist Abigail Dowd grew up under the longleaf pines in the Sandhills region of North Carolina. Known for her storytelling and command of an audience, she has been called "a writer of the highest caliber”.(The All Scene Eye). Pulling from her heritage of storytelling and determination, Dowd weaves hints of Celtic melodies with the soulful gospel of the south to create a sound that dances between folk, rock and blues.  

Tyler Nail Tyler nail is a dynamic songwriter singer and performer who has captivated audiences all over the South. Nails music sounds like his home state of North Carolina. It is rooted in the Appalachian music tradition, decorated with Southern imagery, nostalgia, and grit. Tyler nail describes his artistic process as his method for "slowing down time". His music is original, poetic, Southern, and high quality.
