Our dear friend Joe Kenlan died last week.
He lived in the woods of Chatham County since the 1970s, and became known as a master of stone artistry.
I frequently bumped into Joe walking in the woods over the years. He was a lover of trees and trails and the miracle that is this garden planet.

I stumbled across this site recently and it brought back a flood of memories from the MSN Messenger days. https://kmess.org/ is a Linux client that was built as an alternative to Live Messenger back when MSN was still a thing. It's got all the features you'd expect – display picture transfers, file transfers, custom emoticons, nudges, winks, offline messaging, and even that "Now Listening" feature that showed what music you were playing. The KDE integration was actually pretty solid, with tabbed chats, custom chat styles, and a clean interface. The last stable release was 2.0.6 back in 2011, and the project has been essentially frozen since then.
