SPIRIT is a near life-size eagle made from scrap metal. Every piece of this eagle sculpture was hand-cut, using salvaged metal objects including: washer and dryer siding, weight lift bar, satellite dishes, old bolts and washers, file cabinets, wheel bearings, shovel head, bed springs, snack shelf unit, water pressure tank, old metal fence t-post and maybe a few other things I’ve forgotten. SPIRIT reflects my idea expressing freedom, endurance, grand hope, strength and connection between earth & spirit. Carrying the star in flight shows a remarkable act of peace, love, hope, and caring for each other and our planet.
