Deep wheel thrown clay bowl, ceramic flowers, metal weight 1 pound raku fired clay As one approaches the end of life their vision blurs and fades. This tea bowl and roses (still life) are what one may see as they are near the transition. Although the once bright and beautiful colors can barely be seen in the flowers, there is strength and beauty to behold in what remains. A weathered intact ceramic bowl and remnants of clay flowers offer a different kind of beauty offering a contrast of darkness and light, characteristic of Raku ceramics.
