"The Butterfly migration spanning continents is one that seems remarkably daunting for a 1/2-gram weight creature, hauling its own food supply along with it. I think it's nice to glance at a statue of one of nature's miracles now and again.

Since 1966, I have been creating what I call art by emulating lines from natures creations from twisted tree trunks to sculptures of whales. Each has had special meaning to me because their accomplishments seem to defy physics."
