Flying fish (kinetic)
“Flying fish” was inspired by the fish cracker snacks seen on TV. It is a kinetic piece as it turns in the breeze on a reclaimed auger and bearings secured to the base, like a flying fish jumping out of the ocean.
Jason Morris is a self taught artist and welder. He uses scrap metal reclaimed from scrap yards to create his sculptures. His studio is located in Lillington NC and he has sculptures in several NC cities including Wilmington, Goldsboro, Clayton, Fayetteville, Lillington, Sanford, Siler city, Salisbury, Mount Holly and several private collections.
