Mural #7: Lady Attercop/Cafe Diem/2019

Cafe Diem is the creation of Emmett Davenport. It sits on the hill top north of downtown Pittsboro--across from Chatham Marketplace, where The Hill Top Restaurant once offered fine dining to the region.

The building has long been owned by Pam and Snuffy Smith, of Beggars and Choosers fame. It fronts a multi room "motel" that has long sat abandoned.

Emmett commissioned her friend Lady Attercop to paint the octopus on her wall. "Attercop," Emmett told me, is archaic for "spider."

Cool name. Cool mural.
